All my dog shoots are spent allowing your dog's characteristics to shine through within the images. The conversations and preparation we share beforehand ensure both you and your dog feel relaxed, confident, and completely at ease from the very start. This is an exciting occasion, one you’ve been looking forward to, and it’s time to enjoy it fully.
"We met Carenza at the Arngask Christmas Market and booked a shoot for our two Cocker Spaniels (Fergus & Harris). She followed up with us right after, and everything from that point on was incredibly smooth. She helped us find the perfect time and location based on her recommendations, and the shoot itself was fantastic. She was completely at ease with the dogs, and we both really enjoyed the experience.
That same evening, she sent over a preview so we could get a feel for the shots. Shortly after, she visited us at home to go through everything in detail and help us choose the ones we wanted, including seeing how the final prints would look. Once we’d picked them, we quickly received the final shots and beautiful prints.

The Welcome Pack
One we've booked in your shoot, a beautifully printed welcome pack will arrive at your door. Thoughtfully personalised, it’s designed to prepare, inspire, and excite you for what lies ahead. Inside, you’ll a brochure, an overview of the artwork options, and a clear guide to the portrait journey - from first ideas to finished pieces. It’s a keepsake in its own right, and for those gifting the experience, I've got you covered.
The Design Consultation
Two weeks before your session, we’ll have our pre-shoot design call either over zoom, or in-person. This is where your story begins to take shape.
Together, we’ll explore the finer details, locations, timings, any requirements revolving around your dog's needs, and the way you imagine your finished artwork living in your home. This consultation allows us to craft the session with intention, ensuring every element reflects your story with authenticity.
The Portrait Session
Everything is in place, and the has arrived. Your portrait session lasts approximately an hour and unfolds naturally, either at a location you love, or of my recommendations. There’s no pressure and no rush—just space to enjoy the wander, and capture some amazing memories along the way. Dogs, family members, and meaningful connections are all welcome, allowing us to create a gallery of images rich in emotion, variety, and joy.
The Private Viewing & Artwork Design
The final chapter, and one of the most meaningful. Viewings typically take place in the comfort of your own home. Kitchen or living room tables are ideal, and your image collections is revealed in a memorable slideshow. This is where the story we’ve created together comes full circle. Guided through your collection, we will select favourites, design your first big frame included, and explore what else there is to treasure. From signature framed portraits and multi-image collections, to fine art folio boxes and complete digital archives, every detail is considered, ensuring your finished artwork is as special as the memory inside it.
